Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Baba Dool on Elephantine Island, I was thoroughly impressed by both the hospitality and the stunning location. Rayba, the host, went above and beyond-waking me up at 5 AM for my excursion to Abu Simbel and arranging seamless boat trips to various attractions, showcasing her dedication to guest care. The accommodation itself exudes a cozy atmosphere with beautiful decorations, while the terrace offers breathtaking views of the Nile, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I appreciated the diversity of the à la carte breakfast options available each morning. The calm and authentic ambiance of the island stands in sharp contrast to the hustle of Aswan, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The warm and friendly Nubian culture further enhanced the experience, with locals genuinely eager to assist. If you're an active traveler like me, you'll enjoy the proximity to not just local cuisine but also a shared kitchen for when you want to whip up your own meals. Baba Dool is a gem for anyone looking to blend adventure with relaxation-I'll definitely be returning!
